REFLECTION ON TODAY’S READINGS Called to lead others to Christ
The Call of Andrew and Peter in the gospel of today reminds us that we cannot be true witnesses of the gospel unless we live by the gospel we preach. By living the gospel and sharing our lives with others, we become signposts that lead others to Christ. If we are authentic disciples of Christ, we will be moved to share Christ with others. We cannot claim to have met Christ and fail to bring others to him. The mantra of the evangelization is a personal witness. The exchange between Andrew and Peter exemplifies the mantra of the new evangelization. We all need to be more enthusiastic about sharing our faith with others and bringing them to commit their lives to Christ just as we have done.
