COMMUNION CALLS - If you know of anyone who is unable to get out to Mass and would like to receive Holy Communion, please call the parish office to have their name added to the list.
NOTE: This is to inform the Parishioners that I will be away from June 12th for the funeral and burial of my late father Mr. Francis Obichukwu Nnajiofor. And because of this, there will be no Weekend Masses in St. Agnes Little Dover and St. Vincent de Paul Queensport from June 18th- July 3rd. Masses will resume in these two churches on the weekend of July 9/10th. Asking for your prayers for a successful and safe trip.
REFLECTION ON TODAY’S READINGS - GOD IS NOT ALONE, NEITHER ARE WE
The solemnity of the Holy Trinity celebrates one of the fundamental beliefs of Christianity: we believe in One God, composed of three distinct persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, united in love and generous self-giving, who work together for the salvation of humanity. As human beings, we come from differing backgrounds and cultures, have different temperaments and opinions, and we belong to various groups by birth or affinity. These differences, in human considerations alone, give rise to rivalry, jealousy, competitiveness, discord and conflict. But as Christians, we are called to take the Holy Trinity as the model for our interpersonal relationships. Our differences, instead of being a cause of division, become a richness to be accepted, encouraged and celebrated. Our varying gifts become charisms to be used in collaboration with others, for the good of all. May our faith enable us to rise above petty human divisions to reflect God’s boundless love and generosity.
SYNOD UPDATE: Thank you for journeying with us during our diocesan phase of the Synod of Bishops. The diocesan phase was officially closed with our Pentecost Mass celebration June 5: the online survey link remains active for now and our Listening Church page will remain online if you wish to make a submission in the coming week.
